Applicants are required to complete an application, provide all necessary information as required, and submit a business plan (template provided). Deadline to apply is December 31, 2024. Applications may be downloaded here ore picked up in CIMC offices.
Completed applications can be mailed to or dropped off at the CIMC Central Office or sent by email.

Eligibility: An applicant (18 years or older) must be a business with 5 or fewer employees or an entrepreneur who meet the low-to-moderate income threshold that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic (covid nexus requirement). Applicants must also reside within CIMC’s geographic service area.


Project Summary: The goal of the project is to assist individuals and or businesses who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to create economic opportunities for the Native American community by increasing jobs, retaining jobs and or opening a new business. The project provide financial assistance up to $5,000 to a number of applicants throughout a two-year project period.

Funding can be used for, but is not limited to, start-up supply costs, rental payments for lease, salaries for employees, fees related to provided online services, and advertising and or marketing costs.


This project coordinates with the CIMC Workforce Development Program, CIMC Native Entrepreneur Training Program and CIMC Members to identify individuals and or businesses in need.

Federal funding is provided by the California Department of Housing and Community Development through the Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus Relief.
